Cold Laser Therapy, also known as Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), is a treatment that utilizes specific wavelengths of light to accelerate the healing of tissues. It is placed directly over the injured area for 30 seconds to several minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated. During that time, the non-thermal photons of light that are emitted from the laser pass through the skin into the deeper tissues.
Cold Laser Therapy is effective at healing damaged or injured tissue, reducing pain, inflammation, swelling, muscle spasm resulting in an overall reduction in tissue healing time.
Cold Laser Therapy is widely used for treatment of:
- Acute and chronic pain
- Neck Pain
- Back Pain
- Ligament sprains
- Muscle strains
- Soft Tissue Injuries
- Tendonitis
- Arthritis
- Tennis Elbow
- Bursitis
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- Fibromyalgia
